What's Your Future Health Worth? | Day 51

Ever wonder what price you'd put on your future health? It's something I've been pondering while working on The Well Home.

Without a direct benchmark, how much is one ready to invest for a healthier and longer life? Can we quantify the value of an extra year, or perhaps five, added to our lives? Extra time to travel, play with our grandkids, or watch more sunsets.

Or how much would one pay to reduce the suffering that comes when living with debilitating chronic diseases like dementia or obesity?

Naturally, it's challenging to tag a concrete price on your future health, yet that's the very proposition I'm exploring. What is someone willing to pay for The Well Home Inspection?

Let's face reality. Many of us falter when it comes to the marshmallow test. We often lean towards short-term gratification, ignoring potential long-term repercussions.

“One cookie won't do much harm.”
”I'll take a break from the gym today and compensate next week.”
”I'll catch up on sleep over the weekend.”

Therefore, it's frequently an uphill task to encourage people to prioritize their health now, despite the clear understanding of its long-term dividends.

Setting the right price is a vital aspect of any new venture, and it's a challenge I've been wrestling with.

Regrettably, this week, I don't have any magic solutions for you. On the contrary, if you have insights or suggestions to share, I would greatly appreciate them. Your input could be invaluable.
